PSA now has webspace set up and active. Just follow the PSA link on the left. It's just a placeholder main page for the moment, but I'm not that far away from finishing the first complete site. (the goal is before christmas. It won't be especially pretty, but it'll have all the information we need to make it active. I've sent Linda an email letting her know and catching her up on it, but I haven't heard back from her yet.
Oh yeah, I have a temporary Pagan Pathways page up too. You can get at it by clicking the Pagan Pathways link on the left.
Oh yeah, as far as I'm concerned, the Blog is all set up too. If anyone has any changes you want to make (adding links etc.), click on the "dashboard" link at the top and you should be able to make them easily enough. If not, sign in with the Gmail account and you can do it for sure. That's how I've been doing it.

Oh my Goddess, dragged kicking and screaming...
December 11, 2006
I have been dragged kicking and screaming into the 21st century. I am a Ludite in my very soul. They told me blogging would be easy. They told me the process would be self-evident. They told me that the Pagan Pathways committee could keep in touch over the holidays. I have my doubts...
But here goes.
I have been to see the insurance broker this morning and submitted the application for event insurance for Pagan Pathways. We're looking at liquor service coverage for the dinner/dance plus general liability to cover the conference events in the day. Our broker is going to submit the application today and will email me a quote, likely tomorrow. We don't actually purchase our insurance for the event just yet; he's asked us to pop back in on January 29 to do that. Once we have looked at the quote and selected a coverage level (I asked for liablility quotes for 2 million and 3 million) he will email me a letter that I can take to the community hall, verifying that we will indeed have insurance, so we can sign the contract for the venue. I am determined that all will be accomplished this week, preferably by Wednesday. Folks on the committee should expect an email with the coverage options as soon as I have the info to send.
Two other items with regard to insurance: as we had discussed at a previous meeting (board or committee I cannot remember), hiring a bartender to serve our alcohol at the Pagan Pathways dinner/dance is the wisest option. Our broker confirmed today that the insurance companies take a very dim view of volunteers in this position, and we are in danger of voiding our insurance should we chose to go with a volunteer. (This is definately a "penny wise, pounds foolish" situation.) The other thing is that to ensure proper coverage for the kind volunteers who will be helping out with the meal(s) that day, we need to make sure that they are members of PSA. Happily, this is easy to do.
That's all for now ; more updates soon.
Bright blessings,
Dorothy

Welcome to the PSA Updates blog. This is the most up-to-date information to be had about PSA events. Be careful though... Some of the stuff that appears here will be works in progress and may change. Don't worry though. We'll tell you when it does!
